Why is the GIF limited to 10 seconds?
GIF is an uncompressed format — 10 seconds at 480px width is already 5–20MB. Longer clips would be too large to be practical.
Why does my GIF look lower quality than the video?
GIF supports only 256 colours per frame. The tool uses a two-pass palette optimisation for the best possible quality within that constraint.
Which width should I choose?
